But the votes are in and congratz to Obama. So long as he doesn't shove my country down the hole any farther than it's been pushed so far, I'm happy. So long as we get a better balanced government and our checks and balances system back, I'm happy. So long as he revives capitalism instead of this bizarre "big brother/help everyone who's not doing jack shit for themselves" thing, I'm happy. So long as Palin doesn't have a shot in office, I'M HAPPY. Fucking scary lady.

Will he do any of this? I don't know. Politicians lie to get people on their side and then turn around once they win. I actually didn't catch a lot of his campaigning, either. Will we follow the path of the Platonic democracy and fall into tyranny? I don't know. I really hope not, but I don't know. I bet you the old boys are spinning in their graves, though, with the direction everything's gone.

And I promise you that I'd be saying the same thing if McCain won. I don't care who's in office so long as they do their job and don't fuck the general populace over in the meantime. Fucking Hamilton.

Oh, I know. I know about the Athenian democracy. I just hope we don't fulfill his opinions on democracy, but... Looking at the last eight years? We were most assuredly just that shy of tyranny. BALANCE. WHERE THE FUCK DID IT GO? -Hopes and pleads for a more balanced system- We had it good not so long ago... T_T

Things will get mighty interesting because we could effectively have a one-party government in two years. I've been listening to NPR and Obama has far more support from the Democratic congressmen than Clinton did when he entered office. I still tell people that Obama will either be a pretty good president or a really, really good dictator.

-Pets.- Well, I just say that I don't care who's in so long as things get fixed. XD Be glad this isn't what I'd originally typed. It was lots of insane-ness and relating the modern world to those government definitions from Plato's Republic.
